Obituary of Grant Seiji Kato
It is with great sadness that the family of Grant Kato announces his passing on September 19, 2025, at the age of 70.
Grant will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Alexander and Nicholas (Abigail) and by his cherished grandchildren, Sakura and Taiyo. He will be dearly missed by his sister Christine, his niece, Katrina, and by many extended family members and friends.
Grant had a great love of the outdoors. Whether it was fishing on a quiet lake or being in nature, he was happy. He enjoyed cheering for his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs, and he found joy in the simple pleasures, sharing that joy with those around him. His warmth, humor, and love for his family will be carried on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
At the family’s request, cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life for Grant, which will be held on Sunday, October the 5th, from 1-3 PM at the Blair and Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St W, Perth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Grant’s memory to a trust fund that has been created for Sakura and Taiyo, Grant’s grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Blair and Son Funeral Home, Perth.
