Obituary of Janice Ruth Echlin

Passed away suddenly at the Perth Hospital, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, following a lengthy illness at the age of 65.  Beloved wife and best friend of Keith Echlin.  Loving and devoted mother of Tricia Echlin (Todd Lavigne) and Missy Echlin.  Proud grandmother of Aidan and Riley. She is survived by her sister Linda (Larry) Doyle and brother Rob (late Sherry) Derbyshire and her brother-in-law William (Peggy) Echlin and sister-in-law Dianne (Late Norm) Smith.  Janice is predeceased by her parents Clarence and Helene (nee Wride) Derbyshire,  her stepfather Allen McEwen, her sisters Judy (Ron) Steele and Karen Derbyshire, her brother-in-law Norman Echlin and sister-in-law Audrey Echlin.  Janice will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Friends may gather at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service in the chapel at 12 noon. Private interment will take place at a later date.  If lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lanark County Alzheimers Society or Canadian Cancer Society.
