Obituary of Yvonne Hansen
It is with great sadness that the family of Yvonne Hansen announces her passing, following a hard-fought battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family in Kingston Ontario, at the age of 63.
Yvonne leaves behind her beloved husband, Lars, and her cherished children, Kelsey (Steve) and Lucas. She was predeceased by her parents, Sheila (née Akey) and Tom Burke. She will be deeply missed by her siblings Jimmy (Sherry), Debbie, David (Caitlin), and the late Kevin. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, her extended family, and friends.
She was the best wife and mother anyone could ask for — helpful, selfless, and the most trusted confidant. With a heart as big as her smile, Yvonne brought warmth and light to every room she entered. She loved to cook and had a remarkable talent for it, sharing her creations with family and friends who adored her.
Yvonne was a devoted and proud employee of Albany International for over 13 years and later found fulfillment in her work as a compassionate caregiver at Lanark Lodge. Her kindness, reliability, and strength touched the lives of all who knew her. Yvonne was an absolute joy and a true treasure to those lucky enough to know her. She will be forever loved and deeply missed.
Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Blair and Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth, on Thursday, November 20th from 10:00AM-11:00AM. The funeral service will be at 11AM in the Blair and Son Chapel, with a reception to follow in the reception centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion or to the Canadian Cancer Society: Breast Cancer Division would be appreciated by the family.
