On behalf of the Gospel Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, formerly Toronto Gospel Lighthouse, we extend our sincere heartfelt condolences to Sis. Lorraine and the family of the late Pastor Wilf Lawrenson. We are grateful to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for Pastor Lawrenson’s twenty-five years of faithful pastoral leadership at the Lighthouse. He has left a legacy of Missions (the proclamation of the gospel both near and far) as being a central role of the church, and we are reminded that “Missions are the footsteps of God to ultimate triumph.” We are comforted by the reality of Paul’s statement in 2 Corinthians 5:8, which reminds us that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Pastor Lawrenson has finished his race and now rests in the presence of our Lord, giving glory to God. Our prayers remain with Sis. Lorraine and the entire family. May you continue to experience God’s all-sufficient grace and peace in the days ahead, assured of His loving presence during this period of grief. Condolences to Lorraine and all of the Lawrenson family in your loss. Pastor Wilf shall remain in the hearts of many that he has impacted within the Fellowship of Christian Assemblies and beyond in his loving service within Canada and by his partnership with missionaries around the world. Lorraine and Family: Our deepest condolences in the loss of your dear Wilf. We have many cherished memories of get-togethers here in Canada and our place in Florida. Hope all the treasured moments you and Wilf created together will keep him alive in your hearts forever. Wishing you God's blessings and strength as you go through these very difficult times. (Sorry we won't be able to attend the funeral........we will be burying a 52 yrs old niece that same day.)
