Obituary of Arthur William Scott
Arthur William Scott was born on June 29,1936 in Watsons Corners to Bert and Annie Scott. He was their sixth and youngest child, predeceased by siblings Jack (Janet), Bob (Dee), Tom (Joyce), Doris (Lloyd), and Jim (Eve).
Arthur is survived by his wife of 45 years, Theresa Bennett; his three children, Greg (Julie Drynan), Jamie (Sherri Lavier), and Tracey; grandchildren: Christine, Nicholas, Ashley, Mandy, Jordan, Joel, Addison; and great-grandchildren.
Art was a gifted storyteller, often recalling memories and events with a dry wit.
He worked in Lanark at the Mill and Caldwell’s, then the Mines in Sudbury, followed by Ontario Hydro-a job he loved, and retired with 20 years at General Motors.
He enjoyed traveling, golfing, country music, vintage cars, dabbled in wine making, and took to wood working in retirement.
He will be forever loved and deeply missed.
Please join the family on Sunday, October 26th from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the Lanark Legion to raise a celebratory drink in his honour.
