Dear Carl,
Chris and I remember extraordinarily delicious and slightly raucous dinners so fondly with you, Gerry, Chuck and Gloria. The last time we met was in your backyard gazebo in Perth, where we enjoyed great wine over an idyllic lunch before facing the road back to Toronto. Gerry wrote wonderful food articles for Rotunda, the former magazine of the Royal Ontario Museum, and I still use her Puttanesca sauce recipe. We were amused by your twin kitchens. We are so sorry to hear of Gerry's passing but your beautifully written obituary describes a terrific and happy life. May she rest in peace and her memory be a blessing.
