Obituary of Ruth Elizabeth McTavish
Ruth passed away peacefully at Lanark Lodge on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at 95 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Vina Devitt and sister of Jane Colligan (Art) and Betty Cole (Doug). The wife of Bob McTavish, and loving mother of Art, Dixie and Stephen McTavish (Marnie). Ruth was the proud grandmother of Andrew James (Kelly), Leah Kuruneru (Shawn); Josh (Heather), Megan (Sean), and Jason McTavish; Sean McTavish and Kenna Brooke (John). Great-Grandmother to Kaylee (Nate), Sarah and Naamah Brooke; Alina, Lincoln, and Adrian McTavish, Lydia, Maren, Ruth, and Edison James, and Morris Kuruneru. Her kind spirit and gentle heart will be missed.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Lanark Lodge for their outstanding care.
The services will be private for the family and will be held at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth, on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 at 2:00pm In honour of Ruth, memorial contributions to Lanark Lodge (Resident Activity Fund) would be greatly appreciated.
