Dane Robert

August 24, 1985 - November 4, 2025

With great sadness we say goodbye to Dane who left us a few months after his 40th birthday. He died from a pulmonary embolism while in Nelson, BC.He dealt his whole life with medical challenges, but did not let them define him. Dane has left behind loving family: mother Anne of Perth, father Roger of Nelson, BC, as well as a sister, step-brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and many cherished friends. He was predeceased by his sister Lia.Dane had many and diverse different interests. He painted and played Warhammer, bred Ball Python snakes, worked as a chef, was very computer savvy and was a life coach. He loved being outdoors as much as possible, hiking, biking, archery, meditating, music and creating community.  He was a good listener and laughed easily. He had a special bond with his cat Senshe.  Dane was funny, kind, sensitive, spiritual and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

A gathering to remember Dane’s life will be held at Picnic Cafe, Perth on Saturday, November 29 from 2-4 pm.  In honour of his memory, donations to LAWS (Lanark Animal Welfare Society) or CHEO (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) may be made.
