Obituary of Georgina Lois MacCharles

With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Georgina Lois (Howe) MacCharles on November 8, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on May 19, 1936, Georgina was the beloved daughter of the late James Edwin Howe and the late Ida May Howe.

Georgina was one of five sisters and is lovingly remembered by the late Muriel, the late Jean, the late Edith, and the late Brenda, along with her many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

Known for her feisty spirit, Georgina brought warmth and laughter everywhere she went. She adored animals, loved listening to live country music, and had a wonderful sense of humour—always ready to tease and be teased in return. She also enjoyed the simple joy of playing Bingo and sharing good times with those around her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St W, Perth ON on November 28th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. All who knew and loved Georgina are welcome to attend and share in remembering her remarkable life.

In honour of her love for animals, donations may be made to the Lanark Animal Welfare Society.
