Obituary of Donald William Walsh

Peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital, Don passed away on November 20th, 2025 at the age of 78. He leaves behind his only child Ian Walsh (Brittany Mowat-Walsh), and his sweet little granddaughter Gracie. Don was survived by his older brother Douglas.

A quiet man who kept to himself, he was known for his tough exterior and steady presence. Those who took the time to know him discovered a kind heart, a gentle spirit, and a loyalty that ran deep.

Though he never sought the spotlight, his quiet strength and subtle acts of kindness left a meaningful impact on the people around him.

Don will be remembered with warmth and gratitude by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to share in his life. In honoring him, we celebrate a man who loved in his own quiet way and whose memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.

A private memorial service & interment will be held on Friday November 28th at 11:00am. In honour of Don, memorial contributions to the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth.
