Obituary of Lois Mildred Bennett

Bennett, Lois M.

January 9, 1944 – November 28, 2025         

Lois passed peacefully at the Almonte General Hospital on Friday, November 28, 2025 at the age of 81.  Beloved wife and best friend of Clarence Bennett.  Dear mother of Cindy Lee Simpson (the late Denis St. Michael), Bud Bennett (Maren) and Kent Bennett.  Sadly missed by her grandchildren Tyler Simpson (Brooke), Trent Simpson, Dion St. Michael, Carmen Searson (Fiancé Tyler Villeneuve) and Sabastian Searson, her god-daughter Darla Fisher and cherished son by heart Jason Dinelle.  Dear sister of Lloyd (Helen) Fisher and Marjorie (Lyle) Jinkinson.  Predeceased by brothers and sister, Clarence Fisher (Lillian), Bill Fisher (Elaine), Marion Moore (Earl) and Garnet.  Predeceased by her parents John and Ida Fisher.  Also predeceased by her father-in-law and mother-in-law Eber and Ethel Bennett, brother-in-law Walter (Gloria) Bennett and sister-in-law Marion Burchill (Russell).  Survived by brother-in-law Kenneth (Joan) Bennett and fondly remembered by extended family and many good friends.  Family and friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St. N., Smiths Falls on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 10:30 – 12:30 p.m.  Funeral service will follow in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Reception Centre.  Interment will take place at St. Augustine’s Cemetery, Prospect at a later date.  In memory of Lois, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
