Obituary of Wolfgang Joseph Weber
Wolfgang Joseph Weber, laid to rest in Perth, Ontario, lived a life defined by strength, warmth, humor, and a presence that could light up any room. Born to Albert Weber and Apollonia Weber, he was the youngest of three brothers and was preceded in passing by his older brothers, Gerhard and Albert.
After migrating to the United States as a child, Wolfgang grew up in Dayton, Ohio, where he excelled in football, track, and basketball. His determination and competitive spirit shaped him early, leading him to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Dayton.
Following his studies, Wolfgang spent part of his engineering career at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. He later continued his work with the United States Air Force abroad in Germany, applying his technical skill at an international level while reconnecting with the country of his early childhood.
He eventually moved to Canada to join the family business, Precision Machine and Engineering, dedicating decades to craftsmanship, problem-solving, and hard work. Canada also became the place where he discovered his love for tennis—a sport he enjoyed for many years and one that brought him lasting friendships.
Wolfgang was known for his charisma, quick wit, and a stubborn streak that those closest to him will smile about forever. He welcomed everyone without judgment and could strike up a conversation with anyone simply because he genuinely wanted to know who they were.
Some of his happiest moments were spent cruising on Christie Lake, tinkering in the garage, flexing his muscles as a playful joke, sharing stories, enjoying his annual trips to Florida, and being surrounded by his grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.
Above all, Wolfgang cherished his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Weber, and his four sons: Anthony and his wife Annie, with their daughters Adeline, Aurora, and Autumn; Wolfgang Jr. and his wife Yuliana, with their sons Wolfgang III and Rocco; Mario and his wife Jessie, with their daughter Novalee; and Alexander, his youngest.
Each one carries forward a piece of his spirit, humor, and love.
His life was full, his legacy enduring, and his memory will be honored with pride, gratitude, and love.
