Jewel and David’s Family
Our sincere condolences. Jewel, you and David were wonderful and devoted drivers for Jamie making sure he made it to his dialysis treatment and other medical appointments. David had lots of stories to tell Jamie. I recall David myself when he was a little fellow standing on the other side of the wire fence while the students were outside during recess at McDonald’s Corners school. Some of us would go over and say hello as his little hands curled around the squared wire fence wanting to come over and play.

Jewel & Family, I send you's my heartfelt condolences on the lose of Dave. I want your family to know,That I share in your family's pain as well in your sorrow. I know it's gonna be hard in the days,months and the years to come. I hope your entire family can reflect back to. your fondest memories you all Shared with Dave, Including Dave's Grandchildren.And hold on to your treasured memories for a life. I will not ever forget meeting Dave Purdon, and his wife Jewel. I extremely have to say it was an incredible honour knowing Dave. what I will remember most about Dave, Is his unconditional love his family,especially for his Grandchildren, They were his world,and their Grandfather was the Grandchildren world also. I will never forget the many jokes that Dave told me.He always had the ability to make me laugh non -stop until I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard by fun jokes he'd tell me, I still remember all of Dave's jokes, they will remain with me for a life time.Dave always was family oriented in everything he did in his life. Dave was a true die Canadiens fan. I will never forget telling Dave I was a Ottawa Senators fan. Dave would forever joke around with me,and say Tracy I'm sure you'll become an die hard Canadiens fan like me! My reply back tom Dave was not ever been Ottawa Senator fan forever! I'm sure were ever Dave in heaven he's making others laugh and talking about his beautiful. Family and the Canadiens!!!!

I was priveleged to have met my friend Dave 17 years ago.
I don't think I have known many a kinder soul.
Humble and without complaint. Always joking and smiling. A true light.
And - I should add; an example of living blessed despite what can not have been an easy journey.
And his love for Jewel?
Unquestionable - a real true love.
So rest well brother and bounce, bounce, bounce with the angels :)
