Obituary of David John Purdon

Peacefully at the Smiths Falls Site of the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital, Dave gently slipped into the arms of Jesus, with his loving family by his side on November 30, 2025 at the age of 66. He was the beloved husband of Jewel (nee Inglis), and the dear step-father of Mark (Beth McLean) and Max McLean. Cherished grandfather of Alexis and Kendra. Dave was the dear brother-in-law of Frank McVicker and Linda Purdon. Predeceased by his sister Phyllis McVicker and brother Bob Purdon. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews; Sue Cronacher, Dan McVicker, Lori (Kevin Marcellus) and Barbie (Jeff Bernier), and by his great-nieces and nephews; Erica, Nicholas, Jaedyn, Melody, Brooke, Bobby, Hallie and Cody.

Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 11:00am until the time of his funeral service in the chapel at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at Crawford Cemetery, McDonalds Corners, Ontario. In honour of Dave, memorial contributions to the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
