Obituary of Brenda Jane Hicks

It is with deep sorrow that the passing of Brenda Hicks is announced by her family in her 77th year. 

Brenda was the beloved wife of Gil Hicks and a cherished mother to Rene Seward (Don) and Corey Hicks (Joanne). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Mira Hicks, Carson Hicks, and Shaylin Seward, all who brought her immense joy.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Karen McAdoo and Sherry Orr (Gord), by her nephew, Chris McAdoo (Rhianna) and great-nephew, Carter McAdoo. Brenda is predeceased by her parents, Marjorie (nee Webb) and Andrew McAdoo.

Brenda found great peace in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed spending time in nature, reading, and most of all, being with her grandchildren. These moments brought her comfort and happiness and will be remembered fondly by those who shared them with her. Brenda is leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to her family.  

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the KIDD 10 Nursing staff at Kingston General Hospital for the care and compassion that was provided to Brenda. 

Friends are welcomed to join for a visitation in Brenda's honour at the Blair and Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St W, Perth, on Friday December 19 from 3-7PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program would be appreciated by the family.
