Obituary of Aline Marguerite Robert

Passed peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at the new Broadview Nursing Centre in Smiths Falls at the age of 97, her children by her side, reuniting with her beloved husband Jean-Paul who passed away on April 24, 2022.  She leaves behind her children Remi (Yvonne), and Monique, her grandchildren Haley (Marten), Ethan (Rebecca), and Alexandra (TJ), and her beautiful great-granddaughter Isla. Also left to mourn are her many nieces and nephews, along with numerous friends she made throughout her long life. Predeceased by her parents Ludger and Jeanne Danis as well as her sibling, Agathe.

Aline and Jean-Paul arrived from St. Jerome, Quebec, putting down roots in Smiths Falls in 1957, having moved with the company Jean-Paul had been working with; Guildline Instruments. Aline began working at the Rideau Regional Centre in Smiths Falls, while Jean Paul continued his career with Guildline. After Jean-Paul had finished building their house on Queen St – the location of which Aline had found - and adopting Remi and Monique, Aline devoted her life to the family as a homemaker. Aline and Jean Paul were both very active members of the St. Francis de Sales church choir. She is cherished and will be dearly missed.

The family would like to thank the staff at Broadview Nursing Home for taking such great care of Aline. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis de Sales Church on Saturday, January 3^rd, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. and all are welcome to attend.

A private interment will take place at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Society of Canada, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to a charity of your choice.  Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Smiths Falls.
