He is survived by his sister Mary (late Harry McKibbon), sister-in-law Margie McKenney, and brother-in-law Ron Wylie.

He will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.

In 1960 he returned to Smiths Falls and became an assistant coach with the Smiths Falls Bears in their first season in the CJHL (1961). Glen became the head coach of the Bears from 1973-1976 guiding them to the Centennial Cup Finals in 1974.

Glen also enjoyed playing baseball in the Nickel Belt league in Sudbury, playing for the Copper Cliff Redmen in 1957.

Following his career with Brewers Retail, Glen spent his retirement at Otter Lake with Margaret enjoying their home, family, the water and was often found appreciating the view from the back deck.

If desired, donations can be made in his memory to the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation (Perth site), Kingston Health Sciences Centre or CHEO.

A celebration of life will be held at the Smiths Falls Golf and Country Club on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. where Glen had been a member since 1957 and played many rounds of golf, most often followed by a pint or two.  Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Smiths Falls.
