Obituary of Donna Nixon

Donna passed away peacefully at the Perth Community Care Centre on December 27, 2025, at the age of 83, under the compassionate care and constant supervision of a wonderful team. She was the daughter of the late Eileen (Purdon) and Roland Carriveau, and the beloved wife of the late William Arnold Nixon (2023).

Donna will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kim Mathison (Shanon), and her three grandsons, Joel, Noah, and Nathan Mathison, who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her brother, Garry Carriveau (Cathie); her nephews, Jamie (Jennifer) and Graham Carriveau; as well as her extended family and many friends.

Donna worked for many years at Brown Shoe, Roy’s General Store, and two small cafés in town. She also took great pride in being a homemaker and in babysitting for many families, a role that brought her much fulfillment. These years were especially meaningful as she had the joy of watching her three grandsons grow up. Donna enjoyed spending time uptown with friends, visiting with neighbours, gardening, and time spent at the farm.

In memory of Donna, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
