Burns, Lorna Beth  (nee Percy)

Lorna passed away peacefully at Carleton Place Terrace, Carleton Place on Friday January 2nd, 2026 surrounded by her family.  She was predeceased by her husband Ken, daughters Elaine and Colleen, grandson Jason (Tracie), son-in-law Bruce, sister and brother-in-law Claire (Russell) Baird, brother-in-law and his wife Elmer and Norma (Churchill) Burns, parents Hilton and Pearl (Closs) Percy and in-laws Harris and Viola (Jackson) Burns. She is survived by her children Barbara, Evelyn (Calvin), Doreen, Paul (Nora) and John (Maryanne); grandchildren Matthew (Jessie), Michaela (Eric), Crystal (Rick), Tyler (Emily), Hayley, Katie and Bryden; great grandchildren Zoe, Kyle, Cohen, Casey and Brody and her only niece Lynn (Doug). Over the years, she was known as Grandma to many other children too numerous to mention.  She will be missed by many good friends. 

Family and friends will gather to remember her life at the Ferguson Falls Hall on Saturday January 24th, 2026 from 12 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.  In remembrance of Lorna, memorial donations to St. Andrews United Church, Lanark or the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (C.H.E.O.) would be appreciated. Lorna’s family wish to offer special thanks to the staff at Riverview Retirement Home and Carleton Place Hospital and Terrace for the care she received.  Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.
