Doug....that laugh dear GOD!!!! Hahaha! I had the honor of winning various vacations around the world with Doug during my time at Natus. My fondest memory of him was over a year ago when he called me on Microsoft Teams. I had never had anyone call me on my work laptop before...let alone a Canadian (I am the Chicago area rep). So I answer and he is sitting at home drinking wine with his wife. I was all, "Doug it is a Friday still during work hours". He chatted about something with work, I think we had a Doc we shared that crossed over from Michigan (my territory) over to Canada as well.
After the extremely brief video chat about that, Doug continued to stay on the Teams meeting he randomly called me on drinking his wine and talking while watching me still work on my laptop. It is still clear as day in my head and I am still laughing about it!
Doug has already been missed, he was larger than life. Now heaven has another angel :)

Lori and family,
I was so sad to hear of Doug’s passing. Please accept my deepest sympathies. I have such fond memories of Doug—and the smile that was always on his face! Justin and I often talk about the wonderful time we shared with you both in South Africa, and I am so thankful to have had those experiences with Doug. His humor and positivity made our trip even more enjoyable.
May all the memories you shared bring you comfort during this very difficult time.

Dear Lori and family -
I worked with Doug at Natus and wanted to express how sorry I am to hear of his passing. His wicked sense of humor and big laugh will be greatly missed. He never failed to make me laugh with him and at his dumb jokes and lighted hearted approach to life and to work. What a treasure he was...He was a good man and a better human than most - I will miss him and will always think of him fondly. I can't imagine what a devastating loss this is for your family. My thoughts are with you during this time of grief and remembrance.
Please accept my condolences.
All my best,
Lori Kirk

I am so sorry to hear of my cousin Doug's passing and offer my heartfelt condolences to Lori and family, Dave and family, and all extended family members. As kids, we experienced frequent weekend gatherings of the Craig families either in Lanark, Hopetown or Portland. Over the years, life got in the way of those "coming together" events. It was so wonderful when Doug and Lori reestablished the reunion of us Craig cousins by way of summer gatherings at their beautiful home on the lake. Doug's effervescent personality made him the perfect host, of course. Doug will be sorely missed by us all.

We wish to offer our sincere condolences to Lori and her family for the loss of the most special man in their lives and to David and his family in the loss of his cherished brother. Doug brought laughter to everyone who knew him with his bubbly personality. His life was full of friends and family and made each and every person feel special. He lived a full life during the time he was given and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. We, his first cousins on the Craig side, were privileged to have him as family and he will be remembered always with love and admiration for the special person that he was. Those who went before you are in for a wonderful ride Doug. Rest in peace.

We are beyond devastated to know that Doug has passed away. The world feels a little quieter without his joyous laugh and wonderful stories. He always made you feel like you were right in the action, and few people could deliver a hug and a smile like Doug. We take great comfort that our lives were, and continue to be, touched by Doug. Sending love and support to all his family and friends.

Doug was a true gem - a childhood father-figure that I will always remember. It takes a special person to be surrounded by so much estrogen, but he did it with pride (and laughter)!
To this day, he is one of the only people to ever call me “Kail” and I will forever cherish that.
What a wonderful life he lived and legacy he left. Sending you all so much love and strength now and always.
