Debbie & Family...I watched the service online as I have mobility issues..Ruth was married to my Uncle Vince.My sincere condolence to you & your Family...The service & photo memories was amazing...she would have been very proud.She was a wonderful Head Nurse & yes she did run a tight ship.. Rest in Peace

My heart and sole goes out to my dearest friend, Debbie. 54 years ago I met Debbie and Ruth, at our first greetings get together at the KGH School of Nursing. Little did I realize that from that day forward Debbie and I would become loving sisters and Ruth became my Mother too. As Debbie and I went through life together, as roommates, then dating, then the addition of Dan and Roger, being both our Matrons of Honour, and on to having our beautiful families, Ruth or as Deb would say Mother, was always there with us, guiding us through our good times or bad, Ruth’s ability to care, never faltered. Her loving presence was relentless. She was Debbie’s best friend, her rock and her ever loving companion. Ruth with my mom, Rita, together in spirit, will be with us forever, Deb!!! ❤️ Ruth/Mother go find my mom, Rita…… Love you, Deb, Les (I’m always here) BTW Erin was perfect!

Debbie and family, I just watched Ruth’s Celebration of Life and it was beautiful! Please know that even though I was not there in person, my heart, thoughts and prayers were with you all. Erin’ reading was unbelievable and I wished I was able to give her a consoling hug, Pleas know my arms were firmly holding you all. She was a great lady and I was privileged to have known her, may she now rest in peace. Love you all, Suzanne ❤️❤️❤️

I first met Ruth, years ago, when I was a new teacher and she was a library volunteer at DJ Schoular Public School. We always had the best chats and she was so friendly and supportive of me then, and through the years that followed. My sincere condolences to her family.

I was heart broken reading Rogers message concerning Ruth's passing, I have fond memories of her visits with your family in Ottawa and a visit or two to see her in the valley. My thoughts and love are with you Debbie, Roger, Erin and Sheena and all the great grandchildren as you process the loss of this very sweet loving women. I recall her eyes lighting up when she was surrounded by her family during those visits. I will miss receiving her Christmas cards and kind thoughts. God Bless you Ruth as you rest in Gods arms after such a tremendous life of service to your community.

I worked with Ruth for a few years after St. Francis became the North Unit. Later in years, we would reminisce when we would meet up at our nursing reunions as we had both graduated from Brockville General

Sending sincere condolences to Ruth’s family at this time. I knew her over my years at the hospital and she was head nurse on the Med/Surg floor. She had a well run nursing unit. A life well lived.
