Obituary of Janice Kathleen Rutherford
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Janice Rutherford (nee Bowes) who went home to the Lord on January 16th, 2026.
She has joined our dad, George Rutherford whom she has missed dearly since his passing in 2022. She was the much-loved mother of Shelley Rutherford, Shane & Lonna Rutherford and Shannon Rutherford & Robbie Haddad. She was the cherished grandmother of Rebecca Rutherford, Jonathan McCurdy & Julia, and Alex & Santana McCurdy, Brock Montgomery & Courtney, Maya Rutherford, Stephanie, Caleigh & Carter Coon. Also her great-grandchildren Addison, McKenzie & Samuel Martin, Easton & Ava McCurdy. She was the beloved sister of Brian & Shelley Bowes and Greg & Terry Bowes sister-in-law of Brenda Rutherford & the late Jim. She will be sadly missed by many nieces & nephews as well. Janice will also be missed at her lunches with the girls, and at bingo.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, 38 Wilson St E, Perth on Friday, January 30th, 2026 at 11:30am. A celebration of her life will take place following the mass at the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 244, 26 Beckwith St. E. Perth. In honour of Janice memorial contributions to the Civitan Club of Perth or any charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth.
