Obituary of Mavis Penelope Wilson

Mavis passed away peacefully at Perth Community Care on Monday, January 26th, 2026. We appreciated the care and compassion she received from all the staff.

Mavis will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her niece, Susan Hausmann and her son J.P., her many friends, and Catherine and Jim Tysick and their family.

Mavis was born in Ottawa to Hazel Whitelaw and at 4 years old was adopted by Ivy and Peden Wilson of Shawville, Quebec. She is predeceased by her sister, Helen.

Mavis loved God with all her heart. She was a blessing to all who knew her.

Friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Asbury Free Methodist Church, 144 Gore St. E., Perth, ON. A reception will follow.
