It is with deep love and heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Lynda McTavish on February 5, 2026 at the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital. She was surrounded by the love of all of her family. Lynda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness, quick wit, unwavering strength and love. A devoted wife to Jim for 60 years, she not only was his partner but his best friend. As a Mother Lynda was a source of strength and guidance to Tammy (Dave) and Scott (Joanna). She was beyond proud of her grandchildren, Jordan, Brooklyn, Sydney and Madison and her very special great-grandchild Calla. They were among her greatest joys in life and she adored every moment spent with them. They will forever cherish the memories and lessons she shared with them. Lynda was predeceased by her parents, Calbert and Phyllis Dowdall of Merrickville and her cherished grandson, Tanner who she held forever in her heart.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth. A celebration of her life and sharing of memories will be held at a later date where family and friends will gather to honour her life and the legacy of love she leaves behind. As expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions to the Parkinson’s Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
