Obituary of Joan Tysick

Tysick, Brenda Joan
Joan Tysick was born on February 2, 1950, and passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026, at Lanark Lodge, with the love of her life, Garry, by her side. Joan was the loving wife of Garry Tysick for 56 years in May. She leaves behind her children and their spouses, Jason (Sandra), and Johnathan (Alicia), whom she loved so very much. She was a devoted grandmother to her beautiful grandchildren, Jensen (Bailey), Chloe, Olivia, and Jacob, who she truly adored. Joan was a sister-in-law to Elly (Elva) Tysick; Dale (Pauline) Tysick; Marlene (late Willy) Toner; Sandra (late Kenneth) Sheil; Linda (Bill) Closs; and Bryan (Karmel) Tysick. She was predeceased by her parents, Orville and Effie Buchanan; her brother, Brian Buchanan; and siblings-in-law Herb (Shirley) Tysick, Bud (Irene) Tysick, and Jeannie Squires. Joan will be forever remembered by her many nieces and nephews, and her special friends, Lois Wark and Linda Kennedy.
Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth, on Friday February 13th, 2026 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm. Joan's funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, February 14th, 2026 at 10:00am. Interment to follow in Scotchline Cemetery, Perth. Donations in Joan's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Lanark, Leeds & Grenville or the Lanark Lodge Recreation Fund.
