It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dolly Pyne on February 7, 2026, at the age of 94, surrounded by the love of her family. Beloved wife of the late Don, Dolly shared 60 years of marriage until his passing in 2016. She was a loving and devoted mother to Jennifer, Susan (the late Thomas), the late John, Matthew (Marlene), Stephanie (Barry), Peter, and Joseph (Paula). She was a cherished and devoted grandma to Michael, Meghan, Wesley, Jacob, Jeffrey, Jessica, Brooke, Allison, and Julia.

Daughter of the late Francis and Willowmine, and predeceased by her siblings Thomas, McCabe (Ann), Willowmine (Richard), and Marion (Lloyd).  Dolly shared a special bond with her 21 nieces and nephews, loving them as her own, and being deeply loved in return.

Dolly will be fondly remembered for her unwavering devotion to family and for her welcoming, fun-loving, generous and deeply kind spirit.  She was happiest when surrounded by those she loved.  A graduate of the Ottawa Civic Hospital in 1952, Dolly went on to serve as a Registered Nurse with compassion and dedication.  Her life was rich with family adventures - traveling to five continents, creating fun-filled and often lively times at the farm in Edwards, and hosting gatherings at the lake that created lasting memories for generations. Throughout her full and vibrant life, Dolly’s kindness and caring nature brightened the lives of all who had the good fortune to know her.

A private celebration of life will be held with family at a later date. In honour of her family members affected by cancer, donations in Dolly’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
