Obituary of Robert Bruce Martin

It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of our dear Bruce due to heart issues. Bruce is predeceased by his parents, Bob Martin and Elva Robey (Joe), and his sister, Sandra Foy (Vic). Left to mourn are his brothers, Hugh (Susan), David and Scott, stepmother Gail Martin, niece Laura (Geoff), nephew Luke (Isabel) and great niece Claire Coventry. He sadly leaves behind his son James Steketee (Rose) grandchildren Brendan and Kristen and great grandchild Raina.

Bruce loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting and was an ultimate jack of all trades, able to accomplish any job he tackled. He especially enjoyed working in his shop on his various vehicles and other projects. His easygoing nature made everyone around him feel comfortable and we will miss his kindness and quiet, gentle strength.

A burial will be held for Bruce on Friday, June 05, 2026, at 1:00pm at the Auld Kirk Cemetery in Almonte. Donations in memory of Bruce may be made to the charity of your choice.

Rest in peace, Bruce and until we meet again…
