Our deepest condolences to Ted’s family. Please accept our sincere sympathies on his passing. Ted was always kind, good natured and generous, with a great sense of humour. He was always ready with a pat on the back for a job well done.

I worked with Ted and Ethel at Port of Call Marina. I was 15 years old when they gave me the opportunity for my first ever job. I worked there for the next 5 summers. Ted taught me a lot, including how to drive a truck with a boat on the front and back (at the same time) of an old brown pick up truck. He took me under his wing and taught me about mechanics and most importantly, he taught me work ethic. I stopped working at the marina when i joined the military, but we stayed in touch. They came to visit me in Cold Lake, Alberta and also when i was posted in Trenton. Ted loved the RCAF and model planes. I was happy to give him a tour when i could. The last i spoke with Ted was recently and i told him how i am getting promoted to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer, a long way from filling up big boats down a very long dock. He told me he was proud of what i have become and i was looking forward to having him come to my Change of Command ceremony. He never mentioned that he was requiring surgery. I am glad we got to know each other throughout all these years and i am grateful for our last phone call. You were a great man and will be missed.

My sincere sympathy to Ethel and family. I knew Ted an Ethel through their involment with our Probus Club of Perth. Ted volunteered along' with his friend Don, to make coffee and tea each Wednesday AM for the past several years. Ted served me coffee along with his cheerful manner and with his special smile. It was only this year that he stopped to spend more time with Ethel.. .Ted and Ethel enjloyer attending social events I was saddened to learn of his passing. I have my special memories and I know you do also. May all of these specials memories help you to celebrate Ted. Blessings.

We are saddened to learn of Ted’s passing. Ted was one of the first people we met when we moved to Streetsville. He was ever present and always active in community affairs. When he and Ethel moved to Balsover we often dropped by their Ports of Call marina when cruising the waterways. Fill up with gas, maybe some mechanical advice, always a chat, and perhaps some libation made for a pleasant stop over. Our sincere condolences to the family. RIP Ted, may your tools always be nearby.

Thank you for the kind words. Mom and dad always loved when friends from Streetsville visited the marina. So many memories of growing up in Streetsville - the friends, Russell’s BP, snowmobile club, dances at the arena and dads involvement with the Bread and Honey festival just to name a few.

It is deep sadness that we hear this news. Ted always seemed to have a smile on his face whenever I saw him. Fond memories of visiting and staying at the Port of Call as a young kid are cherished. Sending condolensces to you and your extended families.

My Sincere Condolences to Ethel and Ted’s family at this very difficult time. Ted was a respected friend to all of us and a loyal friend to 429 (Georgina) Wing, RCAFA. His woodworking items will be treasured by those who have the privilege of having some. Ted will be greatly missed by all. It was a priviledge to know him.
