To the Family,
Condolences to the family of Beth and Ron from members of Young's Point United Church. We are so sorry that we couldn't make it to the celebration of life today. Their are very few of us left and are in our senior years. The heat and the early time held us back.
Your mom and dad where a big part of our little church and we missed them so much when they moved to Perth. They were happy to be near family and the new baby. Some of us did visit with them a short time after they left.
We all had so much fun making easter eggs. Your mom was the queen of decorating them. She worked with Bonnie and Jane. We could always count on her to do a beautiful job. Your dad helped out in the church dunking the cooled eggs into the chocolate. Him and Gord would sometimes have fun seeing who could get more on a tray to go on to the gals that decorated them.
Terry and I went to visit them many a time at their condo across from Timmies. I always made sure the take him a lemon
pie, his favourite. When it was time to move they offered us the kitchen set which we have in our sunroom. I believe one of you made the table.
Even though they moved we always considered them apart of our church. I have put their names on our Memorial Plaque as they were such a great part of the congregation and the choir.
We have lost a few more of our members, Elmer Garrett on mother's day this year, Lenore York, Connie Park. Maybe your parents had mentioned these people over the years. Jack and Welma May now live at Lakefield Extendicare Nursing Home.
Jack has gone blind His girls try to bring him out to church when he is able. Welma is in the Alzheimer's unit. .
It was such a pleasure knowing your parents they were a wonderful caring couple. Blessings to you all.
