Obituary of Lois Beatrice Whitteker

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Lois Beatrice Whitteker (nee Dillabough) of Perth Ontario, at Broadview Nursing Home surrounded by family on March 31st, 2026 at the age of 95.

She was born on July 17th, 1930 to the late Ernest and Luella Dillabough. Lois was the beloved wife of the late Glendon John Whitteker. She is the loved mother of Marilyn Whitteker (George McLellan) and Sandra (Paul) Wark, and the late Rick (Susan) Whitteker. Lois was the cherished Grandmother of Jason (Elena) and Trevor (Bridgette) Mosher, and Bailey (Sam) and Riley (Alyssa) Wark, and Great Grandmother of Hans, Brayden, and Chayce, and Tahlia, Madeleine-Rose, and Tāne Mosher. Loved sister of Marjorie, Lee, Gary, Harold, and Ernie Dillabough and Sister-In-Law of Betty Dillabough. Lois was predeceased by her siblings Edith (Basil) Fawsett, Edna (Hubert) Beckstead, and John Dillabough. Her Sister-In-Laws Shirley Severson, Eileen Homer, Henrietta McDonald, Charlotte Cougler, and Patricia Barr, and Brother-In-Laws Ira Windsor and Donald Harper. Lois will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Lois enjoyed reading, gardening, spending time with her family, and always loved going to the casino with her husband. She had a deep love for all animals, particularly her old dog Blackie. In her younger years she loved baking and travelling. She always loved any opportunity to talk about their trip to Hawaii.

She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

The family invites donations to Mel’s Farm - All Animal Sanctuary in honour of Lois.

The family will be having a private celebration of life. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.
