Obituary of William Blair

The family of Bill are sad to announce his peaceful passing at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre on April 1, 2026 in his 92^nd year. He was the beloved husband of Leona (nee Cox) for almost 69 years. Bill was the cherished father of the late Randall, Bruce (Doreen) and Angela (Kenny). He was the cherished grandfather of Marcus, Liam, Casey (Peter) and Ryan (Tesha), great-grandfather of Weston, William and Noah. He will be sadly missed by his sister Lois (Robert) and by his brother-in-law John. Bill was predeceased by his parents Robert and Sarah and by his siblings Dolphin (Marjorie), James (Anne), Eileen (Ernie), Grace (George), Hilda, Laura, Donald (Eleanor) and Bonar (Donna)

The family wish to thank the Dialysis Team of the PSFDH – Smiths Falls Site, the Bayshore Nurses and Shelley & Dave Moore for their outstanding care, compassion and support over the last couple of years.

Bruce would like to extend his heartfelt thanks to his sister Angela and her husband Kenny for the love, care, and support they gave to their father. Living out west, Bruce was unable to be there as often as he would have liked, and he is deeply grateful for the compassion, dedication, and strength Angela and Kenny showed throughout. Their kindness and commitment brought comfort not only to their father, but to the entire family.

Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Tuesday, April 7^th, 2026 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.  The funeral service will be held in the Chapel at 1:00 P.M. followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Family Centre.

Interment to take place at St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Brooke after the reception for those who wish to attend. In honour of Bill, memorial contributions to St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Brooke or the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation – Dialysis Unit would be greatly appreciated.
