Obituary of Gwendolyne Elliott

Gwen went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 in her 96th year at the Great War Memorial Hospital in Perth. Predeceased in 2006 by her beloved husband, Arnold Elliott, of 51 years. Loving mother of Cheryl, cherished grandmother of Kayla and Kelly. Predeceased by her granddaughter, Karly Grace Chang, parents George & Grace Bryan of Lyndhurst, brothers Lloyd Bryan (Edythe) and Arnold Bryan (late Isobel), brother-in-law Howard Elliott and sister-in-law June Elliott. She will be fondly remembered by her nephews, nieces, and many great friends who were so good to her.

Life-long member of St. Paul's United Church, she loved fishing on the Lyndhurst Creek, an avid bowler with the Perth Bowling League, playing euchre, gardening, coffee outings and get-togethers with Perth Keenagers. She was a volunteer canvasser for the Canadian Cancer Society for over 25 years. Ardent fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays.

Still residing in her home of 63 years, the family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to friends, neighbours and care professionals who helped her comfortably live with dignity.  

Friends may pay their respects at Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore Street W., Perth on Friday, April 17th, 2026 from 11:00am until the time of Gwen's funeral service in the chapel at 1:00pm. Reception to follow at the Blair Family Centre. Interment at the Halladay Cemetery, Elgin at a later date. In remembrance of Gwen, contributions to the St. Paul's United Church, Osteoporosis Canada Research, or the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation - Perth Site.
