Obituary of Jacques Hubert Vallieres

Jack Vallieres passed peacefully surrounded by love on April 7th, 2026 in his 86th year.

Jack was a brother, a husband, a father and a grandpa. Jack spent his career as an Airforce Mechanical Engineer and Federal Mines Department. He had the ultimate respect for the military and remained active in his retirement with the Perth Legion. Music flowed in his veins, he played guitar, mandolin, violin and drums. He enjoyed jamming with friends, performing at events and in local parades. His passion was spending time outside fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and RV’ing across the province attending music festivals with friends. Puttering in his garage was his happy place. He could fix anything and his neighbours appreciated his talents.

Jack is survived by his loving wife Ruth (Raven) of 66 years, son Bob (Lynn), daughters Sandra (Dave) and Heather; grandchildren Jayme (Dan), Ben, Austin and Megan; great-grandchildren Jackson and Veda, and his sister Estelle.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lanark Lodge – Maple Ward or the Alzheimer’s Society of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.
