It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ronald (Ron) Fournier on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 in his 90th year. He was born in Althorpe on August 12th, 1936 to Wilbur (Bill) and Doris Fournier. Ron was the beloved husband of the late Bernice (Noonan) and a devoted father to Joanne (Jorge) Lozano, Sharon (Daniel) Bourque, Heather (Darwin) Code, John (Colleen) Fournier, and Tricia (Scott) Mierau. He was a very proud grandfather to Jacob, Ana, Olivia, Jack, Sam, Rachel, Carson, Elizabeth, Brianna, Megan, Andrew, Will, Ava, and Thomas, as well as a cherished great grandfather to Ellie. Ron will be deeply missed by his siblings and extended family, Merle (late George) Korry, George (Edna) Fournier, Lorne (late Jeannine) Fournier, late Gail (Neil) Moore, late Margaret (late Gerald) Heney, Tom (late Connie) Noonan, and Irene (late Bob) Adrain. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Ron was both a hardworking businessman, having co-founded Rideau Pipe in Perth, and a dedicated member of his community. He was actively involved in the church and gave his time generously to politics, the Bolingbroke Cemetery, and the Canadian Cancer Society. He was a man who measured success not by accomplishments, but by relationships. He was known for his quick wit and warm social nature. Ron had a gift for making people laugh and feel welcomed. Whether sharing stories or simple moments, he truly enjoyed the company of family, friends, and neighbours. Music, laughter, and good company were at the heart of Ron’s life, and he shared all three generously with those around him.
