We are sad to know that Pat has passed on. Ruth and Pat were great friends from school and when I married Ruth in 1964 I was welcomed into the group, Pat was fascinated with this limey guy who flew in from Bermuda with Ruth, and I was puzzled over this little lady who raved about “Bobby Hull”.
Pat and John were very kind to us letting us use cottage No1 and entertaining us in Cottage 2 and succeeding years as we had our boys Mike and Jeff taking them to play with Greg, David, Chris and Robin, at 10 Florence or to the cottage(s).
Over time as the families aged and activities in Ottawa took preference we saw less of the Smiths but Pat and Ruth would spend impossible amounts of time on the phone.
We, Ruth and Alfie, have missed Patrica in recent times and now know that she has gone to a good place leaving her sons and friends with good memories
