Obituary of Alden Thomlinson

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Alden at his home in Perth, Ontario, on April 21, 2026.

Alden was the beloved partner of Mary McDonald, and cherished father of Temple (Dave) Jansen, Ashby (Annie), and Lucas. He will be lovingly remembered by his stepchildren, Tracey McDonald (Stephen Ritchie), and Vanessa (Chris) Kempinski. He was the proud and devoted grandfather of Nick, Lily, Hannah, Russell, Hayden, and Asher. Alden is survived by his siblings Paulette Lessard (the late Gerry), Carl (Lisa), and sister-in-law Debbie (the late Dale). He is predeceased by his siblings, Norman (the late Shirley), Bonnie-Jean (the late Joe Kelly), and RJ. He will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, including his godson, Trevor.

Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Alden’s life at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St W, Perth ON, in the  Family Centre on Saturday, May 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend and share their memories together.

In remembrance of Alden, memorial contributions to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
