Obituary of David William Pledger

The family of David William Pledger is saddened to announce his passing in Perth, ON on May 9, 2026. 

David will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Sharon, and by his children, Jessica (Randolph) and Joshua (Aiza). Cherished grandfather of Noah, Ella, Aidan, Ava, Olivia, and Lyla. David was the dear brother of John and Linda, and the beloved son of the late Ernest and Edna.

Above all else, David was a devoted husband and proud father whose family was the centre of his world. A cherished son, respected teacher, and passionate coach, he touched countless lives through his kindness, leadership, and unwavering dedication. He approached every role in life with integrity, commitment, and passion; inspiring all those around him. Known for his incredible sense of humour, love of sports, nature, and the outdoors, and his ability to bring people together, he leaves behind a legacy of family, strength, compassion, and community. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. 

Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore Street West, Perth, on Thursday May 14, 2026, from 9:00AM - 11:00AM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11AM. A reception will be held in the Family Centre of the Blair & Son Funeral Home immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of David to CHEO would be appreciated by his family.
