
Obituary of Wilma Joan Miller
Passed away peacefully at Broadview Nursing Centre on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Dearly missed by loving husband Donald, caring sister to Doreen (Glenn) Moulton, sister-in-law to Clifford (Alice) and Calvin (Sue) Miller. Cherished mother of Sharon (Dave) Brown, Sheila (St.clair) Ifill, Marilyn (Tom) Ruga, Robert (Shannon) Miller. Dedicated grandmother of Jason (Lindy) Brown, Andrew Brown, Joanne (nee Brown) (Kevin) Todd, Amanda (nee Pronyk) (Rob) Adams, Bethany (nee Pronyk) (Nick) Klassen, Candace (nee Pronyk) (Matt) MacFarlane, Les (Magda) Ruga, Melanie Ruga, Brent (Katelynn) Ruga, Keith Ruga, Lauren (nee Miller) (Chris) Vanderboom, Kendall, Tyler and Seth Miller. Loving great grandmother to Miranda, Simon, Kalin, Zoey, Nathan, Jackson, Karson, Hudson, Anastasia, Tyson, Emery, Eli, Helen, Tommy, Caleb, Audrey, Samuel, Olive, and Lena. Wilma will be missed by many special nieces, nephews and cousins. Pre-deceased by parents Maynard and Maude Argue, son Leslie, brother-in-law Arthur (Edythe) Miller, son-in-law Sheldon Pronyk, and great granddaughter Hannah MacFarlane.
As a child Wilma accepted Jesus as her Saviour. Her faith was evident in the way she lived her life. The family wish to say a special thank you to the entire staff at Broadview Nursing Centre for the excellent care and compassion given to Wilma for nearly three years. The family also wishes to pay a special thank you to Mayta Tot for the many dedicated caring hours looking after Wilma.
Family and friends may pay their respects during a visitation Monday, May 18, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith Street North, Smiths Falls. A service to celebrate Wilma’s life will take place in the Chapel on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at the Rideau Ferry Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Rideau Ferry Meeting Hall. In memory of Wilma, donations may be made to Bible Truth Publishers or to the Alzheimer Society of Lanark Leeds and Grenville.
