Obituary of Marjory Elizabeth Nasmith
NASMITH, Marjory Elizabeth “Marj”
March 13, 1938 – May 13, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Marj on May 13, 2026, at the age of 88. She passed peacefully, surrounded by family, and is now with her Lord.
Born in Montreal and most recently of Perth, Ontario, Marj was the daughter of Wilmot Eddy and Dorothy Eddy (née Smith). She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her beautiful smile and warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Marjory is survived by her beloved husband Henry Horton “Harry” Nasmith, and her four sons: Douglas Nasmith; Richard Nasmith; Charles Nasmith (Janet) [Kanwisher]; and Andrew Nasmith (Tricia) [Ellis]. Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren: Emily Nasmith, Jesse Nasmith, Bryanna Nasmith, David Nasmith (Emily) [Howes], and Thomas Nasmith; and her great-granddaughter, Violet Nasmith. Predeceased by her brother, Charles Eddy. She will be remembered for her joy for life, love of family, interest in family history, many stories, and her wonderful sense of humour.

The funeral service for Marj will be held at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth, on Monday, May 25th, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. Reception to follow in the Blair & Son Family Reception Centre.
