It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Francis Cameron (nee Hogan). Mary passed away peacefully Friday, May 22nd, 2026 at the age of 94. She was the loving wife of the late Jim Cameron, cherished mother of Sandra Findlay (Scott) and Scott Cameron (Lynn). Proud grandmother of Brittany (Matt), Cameron (Kellie), Avery and Tait (Joe), great-grandmother to James and Fraser. Mary is survived by her siblings Patsy Bracken (late George), Lorna White (John), Tom Hogan (Joanne), Morris Hogan and sister-in-law Carol Cameron (late Ross). Predeceased by her parents Nick and Mae Hogan, her siblings Dorothy Harrison/Fitzgerald (late "Bus"/Jim), Joe Hogan (late Julia), Jean Craik (late Jack), Kathryn Miller (late Dick), Elaine Brown (late Ken), and Ruthie Derrig (late PJ). Mary will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Mary will now be rejoined with her true soulmate "Jimmy" who she shared a life together growing up in Smiths Falls, settling down in Perth owning/operating Cameron Furniture & Upholstering and retiring at the cottage near Rideau Ferry. They enjoyed life with many shared interests such as boating, curling, playing bridge, bowling dancing. Jim and Mary were members of the Perth Lions and Lionettes Club back in the 60's and 70's, volunteering at many community events. Mary spent many hours crafting with her sisters over the years quilting, painting, knitting, sewing and later in life working on her golf game with many friends and family. She always had a kind and friendly smile for those she met on her daily walks or shopping in the local stores. For those of you that knew Mary, please smile and raise a toast in her memory. She will be greatly missed.
There will be a Celebration of Life held in Mary's honour occuring later this summer at the cottage for family and friends.
