Obituary of Wayne Joseph Bowes
Suddenly at the Perth Hospital, Wayne passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at the age of 74. He was the beloved husband of Karen (nee Whiteside), and the cherished father of Dawn (Mark), Lisa (Brian), Keeley (Ciaran) and Maggie. Wayne was the treasured grandfather of Spencer and Bryce. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Arnie (Eleanor), Linda (late John) Spence, and Glen (Kelly), his sister-in-laws Susan (late Mark), Robyn and Lauren (Chris) and by his mother and father in law Violet & William Whiteside. He was predeceased by his brother Jack (Pat). Wayne will be fondly remembered by all the guys at the Whispering Pines Hunt Camp, along with his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Then again on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026 from 9:00am until the time of his memorial service in the chapel at 11:00am. The interment will follow at St. John’s Parish Cemetery with a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 244 Perth. In honour of Wayne, memorial contributions to the Lanark County Community Living Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
