Obituary of Erin Patricia Beazley
Erin Patricia Beazley died peacefully with her partner, Scott, by her side on 18 April 2026 at the Ottawa General Hospital.
Erin was a multi sport athlete starting in her early years, throughout high school, and later with the Lady Rams at Ryerson Polytechnical, Toronto. She was a Masters Rowing Champion, competed in multiple Head-of-the-Charles Regattas and was an avid supporter and proud player of women’s hockey, basketball and volleyball. She also competed in a multiple international cycling events in support of a number of charitable causes, most notably for Wounded Warriors Canada.
Erin’s love of travel also began early in her life. She was born into a military family and moved to CFB Baden-Söllingen, West Germany at the age of eight. She enjoyed recounting family memories of living there with such fondness and warmth that only a truly unique and impactful adventure could create.
Erin, being incredibly multifaceted, also had a deep appreciation for art and worked as a graphic artist in her adult life. She worked as a major graphic projects manager for McDonald’s Canada campaigns and LCBO print media.
Erin later retired to a cozy cottage in Tweed to enjoy an active lifestyle while being closer to her loved ones. It was common to find Erin out on the lake rowing her single scull whenever weather permitted. Anyone who visited her on Facebook knows of her passionate and detailed storytelling on various subjects such as Canadian history, her armchair-Olympics reporting and beautiful photos from her life.
She was a committed and loving daughter to Richard and Muriel, partner to Scott, sister to Christopher (Jane) and Stephen, much loved aunt to Lauren and Claire, niece to Greg (Ella), Barry, Joan, and Dennis (Joanne), cousin and friend to many all over the world. Erin was a true light in her family, to her friends, and in many different communities and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wounded Warriors Canada, a cause very near to Erin’s heart.
The family would appreciate any photos or stories from those who were and continue to be impacted by Erin’s passion for life. Please send them to claire.beazley14@gmail.com
