March 7, 1969 - June 9, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bo Liu on June 9, 2026 at the age of 57. Bo was born on March 7th 1969 in Anshan China and spent her early years living in China before immigrating to Canada to join her husband in a new way of life on a farm in Portland Ontario.

Bo was predeceased by her father Liu chun Lin and mother Liu yong Fang. She is survived by her husband Robert McEwen, brother Hui (Laura) Liu and sister Lee (Bing) Yu. She is fondly remembered by her nieces Lillian Liu, Shuhan Yu and Emily Horsfall here in Canada and by extended family and friends in both China and Canada.

Bo loved to travel and explore whether that be a country far away or simply an unknown road near at hand. She enjoyed cooking and creating new recipes, she loved to paint in watercolor and had the ability to capture the slightest detail of the flowers she painted and she had an amazing ability to sing lyrics that she had just heard. Most of all she was a deeply caring person that valued family life. 

A service to celebrate Bo’s life will be held in the chapel at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Monday June 15th starting at 10:45 A.M. followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Reception Centre. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Newboyne Ontario

In honour of Bo, memorial contributions can be made to the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Center.
