Obituary of Grace Beryl Humfryes

HUMFRYES, GRACE BERYL
Peacefully at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital, Smiths Falls on Thursday June 25, 2026, at the age of 90, with family at her side.  Grace is predeceased by her loving husband, Wallace “Wally” Humfryes.  Dear mother of Lynda (Michael) McKimm and Susan Humfryes.  Grace will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Steven Summers and Katelyn (Brandon)  McConaghy and her step grandchildren Brett and Ty McKimm. 

Grace is predeceased by her brother Alexander Harvey, sisters Margaret Calbery and Ruth Borland and is survived by her sister Audrey Thibault.

Grace was a Federal Civil Servant for 30 years with the Department of National Defence in the Recruiting Department.  She spent 35 years of retirement in Brighton, Ontario and then Smiths Falls, Ontario.

Grace is survived by many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.  She also enjoyed many laughs with her friends at 40 Pearl Street and her bingo buddies.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and support staff on the second floor Smiths Falls Med Surg for their excellent care and compassion given to Grace and our entire family.

As per Grace’s wishes, a cremation has taken place. A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice may be made in Grace’s memory.  Arrangements in care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Smiths Falls.
