Obituary of Penny Jean Schoildan

Passed away peacefully at Broadview Nursing Centre, on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the age of 81. She will be sadly missed by her close friend Madeline Hawe and was also predeceased by her best friend Georgia Allen.  She is also predeceased by her parents Claude and Hazel Young.  Penny was born in Smiths Falls and following grade school, she graduated from the Brockville Hospital as a Registered Nurse and provided wonderful medical care to her many patients. Penny wanted to further her education and travelled east where she became a Director of Medical Care with Dalhousie University. The last chapter of her nursing career was when she decided to serve in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 5 years providing medical care for those serving their country. Following her time, in the Air Force, she came back to care for her mother who was struggling with her own health in her final years.   There will be a private service to celebrate Penny's life with an interment taking place at Hillcrest Cemetery.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
