Hi Linda and Family, so sadden to hear this news! Gary had such a big hand in the start of my career at Hall Telecommunications and I had the privilege to work with him for 25+ years!! I will always be grateful for everything I learned from him over the years. He shared so much knowledge, patience and advice with me ... not just about finance, but about life and, of course, cruising too! The running joke around the office was that Gary trained me so well that we didn’t get to see him as much anymore. I will always smile when I think of that. Gary, thank you for everything you taught me, for your guidance, your stories and all the laughs over the years. You had a lasting impact on my career and on me personally, and I will miss you dearly. ❤️

Dear Linda and family We, at the Haldimand-Norfolk Literacy Council, had the privilege of getting to know Gary these past few years, as our auditor. His love for you and his family were shared with us. He was a good friend to our organization and those of us who worked directly with him. He shared his excitement regarding your trip to Newoundland. On behalf of the Baord of Directors and staff, I wish for you that your many warm and wonderful memories surround you and bring you comfort in the diffcult days and weeks ahead. Gary Stearns. One of the true good guys. Growing up in Smiths Falls and summers at Otter Lake, Gary was a great guy to all the Schoular kids - Jamie, Dave and Liz. Gary was an outstanding student, and an impressive athlete. He excelled at hockey, football, golf and waterskiing. But way more than any of those things was that Gary was a solid, dependable, definitely got your back friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with Linda, Amy and Tyler.

This is so true Jamie…. Gary was a “stand up”. Even though he was a few years older I remember him from the football team and we played on the badminton team together My sincere condolences to his family and extended family

So sad to hear of Gary’s passing. I remember him from Rideau School and SFDCI. Gary was a good student and was in sports and band. Picture is from Gr 13 band trip to the Maritimes. Know that Gary is fondly remembered.
