Obituary of Wayne Thomas Kirkham

Wayne was the incredibly proud and cherished father of Ashton and Austin. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Theresa Kirkham; his brother, Bradley (Roseanne); and his sisters, Carolyn (Chris), Holley, and Tania (Cameron) Norris. Wayne was predeceased by his father, Roy Joseph Kirkham, and his brothers Marlow and Gerard Kirkham. Lise Kirkham will forever have held a special place in Wayne's heart. He will be remembered and sadly missed by his extended family, many friends, and all who knew and loved him.

Wayne had a love for the open road and was always ready for his next adventure - something his sister Tania can certainly attest to after their many travels together through uncharted territory. He embraced life with a sense of fun and spontaneity, never quite knowing where the road might lead. Wayne was thoughtful and generous, often putting the people he loved before himself. One especially treasured memory was the helicopter ride he arranged for his mom to celebrate her 90th birthday. Some of Wayne’s happiest times were spent at the lake, surrounded by family and all the laughter and shenanigans that came along with it; including the occasional early-season jump into the water fully clothed. He especially treasured the time he spent with his great-nieces, Gracie, Maddy, Brooke, and Lillie. Wayne’s adventurous spirit, generous heart, and love of life created countless memories for those fortunate enough to share it with him. Those memories and the stories that came with them will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 from 9:00-11:00AM. A service will be held for Wayne in the funeral home's chapel at 11:00AM, with reception to follow in the funeral home reception centre.

In honour of Wayne, memorial contributions to the Royal Canadian Legion would be appreicated by his family.
