Obituary of James Allan Ewart

In his 89th year, Jim passed away peacefully at Lanark Lodge on Friday, August 21, 2026.

Beloved husband of Joanne (née Beeman) for 67 years, and dearly loved father of Peter (Nicole) and Jeffrey (Tuyen). Jim will also be sadly missed by his sister Jeannette Campbell. He was predeceased by his sisters Mildred Rothery and Mary Cameron, and his beloved grandson, Spencer Ewart.

A successful dairy farmer and graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program, Jim was also an avid motorcycle enthusiast, deer hunter, and fisherman.

Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Jim's life at Lanark Lifestyles, in the Party Room, 31 Eric Devlin Lane, Perth, on Saturday, September 12, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

In keeping with Jim's wishes, his ashes will be spread at Redhorse Lake in Ompah, his cherished getaway for more than 60 years, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Lanark Lodge in appreciation of the exceptional care and kindness Jim received would be appreciated.
