Obituary of Margaret Rose James

Passed away peacefully at the Smiths Falls Hospital on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at the age of 87.  Beloved wife and best friend of Lawrence for more than 67 years. Loving and devoted mother to Gregory (Louise) James, Steven (Susan) James, and Daniel James.  Cherished grandmother of Mark (Elena), Amy, Shawn, Joseph, Cory (Brooke), Curtis (Alyssa), Jessica (Joe), Cody (Baili) and Josh (Laura) James; and proud great-grandmother to her many great-grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased by her sisters Joyce Knapp, Ida Thomson, Jean Wall, Joan Dowdall and Beatrice Loomis. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. All are welcome to gather at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Thursday, September 10, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m.  A reception will follow the service, with interment taking place at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lanark. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
