Obituary of Edith Irene Gray

It is with great sadness that the family of Edith Gray announces her passing at the age of 98.

She was predeceased by her parents, William Dobbie and Winnie Woods, as well as her siblings, James, Williard, Jean, and Florence.

Edith will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ellis and Irene, along with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.

Edith will be remembered for her love of the simple pleasures in life. She enjoyed knitting, animals — especially Chihuahuas — and a good shopping trip, often enjoying the social outing just as much as the shopping itself. She also had a fondness for Chinese food and loved travelling, exploring and embracing new adventures whenever the opportunity arose.

A graveside service will be held for Edith on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Hopetown Cemetery,5526 Highway 511, where family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of her life.
